Philosopher’s Stone, Another Look

Those of you who have been following my updates know this already, :) but when I re-read Philosopher’s Stone this time through, I found myself getting more and more fascinated with the “behind-the-scenes” part of the book – that is, what Dumbledore’s version of the story would be. Some of the stuff that happens is just… crazy, and can’t be adequately explained with a surface-level reading of the story. So to satisfy my own desire to figure out all the pieces, I wrote down my thoughts and theories as to what he was up to in the form of an essay.

One thing I do want to say is that this theory is not set in stone (ha, ha). I would absolutely love to get feedback to help tie up some of the messier loose ends in particular. So I hope you will all feel free to comment (if you haven’t done so yet I’ll have to approve your first one, but after that it’s instantaneous), let me know your thoughts, and help me pull the backstory together. I hope it fascinates you as much as it did me.
