Goblet of Fire, Chapter 11

It’s sort of funny, in a way, that each of the first six books has an entire chapter devoted to Harry’s trip on the Hogwarts Express. There are other parts of the school year that we don’t see – entire months are skipped in the winter term in every book. And other parts of Harry’s life, for that matter – anyone ever notice him showering or taking a bathroom break? But when you think about it, it makes sense – the students could easily get to Hogwarts without the train, but it’s a rite of passage for them, a means of creating a separation between home and school. And by hearing about it every time, it creates separation for us, too. And of course, something plot-related always happens along the trip. ;)

Anyway, here’s the new chapter, which by the way also helped to remind me of how badly I always wanted to punch Draco Malfoy in the face when first reading these books (I think he was later overshadowed in this regard by Umbridge):
