Goblet of Fire, Chapter 34

Without a doubt one of the most intense chapters in the books, ‘Priori Incantatem’ deals with an awful lot of heavy stuff. It’s so impossible to imagine what it must be like to be in Harry’s shoes here, but absolutely captivating at the same time.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, chapter 34: ‘Priori Incantatem’

By the way, something I’ve been meaning to clarify that’s been popping up in the comments: in writing this site, I long ago decided to avoid spoilers. I knew they were unavoidable in the comments, so I don’t avoid them there myself, and readers shouldn’t be wary of posting spoilers. But for the site, I leave them out and construct my comments (especially ‘Something to Remember’) with the intention that those who know all seven books can understand what I’m pointing out, while someone who hasn’t finished the series still doesn’t know what’s coming. So yes, I DO realize, for example, that Hermione got her time-turner when she was called into McGonagall’s office in PA5; I just don’t want to say it blatantly on the page so I try to write it a little bit more discreetly. ;)

Hope that helps clarify things – let me know if there’s anything else you’ve been wondering!
