Back From the Land of the Dead….

Good morning!

So, um… it’s clear many of you have noticed that I completely vanished over the past couple of months. And I need to seriously apologize for that.

I had several things happen at once this winter, which combined to really jam up my schedule (nothing bad – just busy). Those of you who have been following for a while know I have an infant and work part time in theatre, and he hit a high-maintenance phase around the same time that my work schedule turned nuts. But more than that, I just let myself get burned out. I’ve been working on this site for over two years, and have always put a lot of pressure on myself to get it updated regularly. By this winter it was starting to become much less fun and much more work, and I just reached a point where I had to cut myself off. I didn’t intend to do it, and I certainly didn’t intend to do it for this long, but every time I thought about working on the site I just got stressed out and didn’t want to think about it.

Sooo… anyway, thank you all so much for your concern, and I’m sorry I let you down by leaving things empty for so long. I’ve been getting in the mood to work on things again lately, and I’m planning to start today by going through the thousand or so comments that have been left since I last posted. :P I don’t want to commit to posting regularly, but I’ll keep the chapters coming, and I’ll do it as regularly as I can. Regardless, I am DETERMINED to finish the project – especially since I’ve made it so far already!

So thanks for reading, thanks for commenting, thanks for continuing to check the site and inviting your friends to do the same. I’m really looking forward to reading and writing more about our buddy Harry. :)

  5. Whew! I thought something really bad had happened to you. But it’s normal to feel stressed about something as big as this proyect, so relax and take your time :) As everybody is saying, we’re just happy to hear that you’re ok.

  14. what threatre do you work in have you got the artwork ready for the new chapters

  15. Josie, I’m so happy your are well. I was hoping your March wasn’t as bad as mine. My father in law died St. Patrick’s day, when we got home that evening, I got an email from my brother that my mother was dying. I flew out the next day and she died March 23. Thank you so much for this site. Please, don’t stress on updates. I’d rather you were happy and enjoying life. The updates will come when they come and I’ll be happy when they do, as long as you and your family are safe, happy and well.

  16. Thanks, everyone. I’m very lucky in my readership – I’ve known for a long time that you guys are fantastic, and this only proves it further.

Loader Lady – I’m so sorry for your family! My month was certainly nothing like the craziness of yours, and I hope you all are able to find some peace and some normalcy down the road.

seekerbillpotter – I’m a stage manager, which is a freelance position, so I work in different theatres at different times (though all in my hometown of Chicago). And yes, artwork for the new chapters will be coming, I promise, though as I said in the above post, perhaps not quite as quickly as in the past. Sorry to make you wait, but my family has to come first!

  17. Good to know it’s all alright, we can all stop worrying now. ;)

  18. Thanks for the update, good to know you’re okay!
