Half-Blood Prince, Chapter Twenty-Three

Aaaaaaahhh! I love, love, love this chapter – there’s so much interesting stuff going on, on so many different levels, that I just can’t get enough. You’ll see that I couldn’t help myself from writing probably more than I’ve written about any other chapter thus far, but it all just fascinates me. The true meaning of the prophecy; learning what the Horcruxes are; Harry being given a mission to follow for the rest of his life; and another closing line to the chapter that just made me scream at the beauty of it.

I also have to confess that one of my favorite pieces of fan art of all time is in this chapter – in fact, if you asked me to pick my top ten, this would be one of the first I would mention. It’s titled ‘And So Do I,’ and depicts the final moment of the chapter that I so love – and it’s now also the new header image on the HPC. Thanks to the wonderful, incredible, can’t-say-enough-good-things-about-her artist, Mudblood428.

And I agree, the new header image looks stunning!
I just want to say a special thank you for pumping out these chapters so frequently! I mean, I understand that you wanted to repay us a bit for taking a long break ;), but recently it seems like every time I check the website there’s a new update! No need to rush of course, we’d far prefer you take a week to come up with a brilliant analysis than a day and come up with a lousy job (not that you ever do!), but I just want you to know that I really do appreciate all the time and effort you put into this website. So a big thanks from all of us :).
