Half-Blood Prince, Chapter Twenty-Eight

I found when I was writing this chapter that I didn’t have a whole lot to say about it. I think there are several reasons – it’s really short, for one, and mostly action-based (which generally tends to equate to a lack of information). But I think the biggest reason is because this chapter is just overwhelmingly emotion-based; the entire time I’m reading it, no matter how many times I’ve read the books, my thoughts tend to stay squarely focused on shock and disbelief – “I can’t believe that just happened. I can’t believe Dumbledore’s dead. I can’t believe Snape did it. I can’t believe that just happened….” It’s a very cool literary tool that Rowling uses, by putting us squarely in Harry’s shoes – for he, too, is running through the castle barely cognizant of his surroundings as his brain tries to process the enormity of the event he just witnessed. Craziness.

Oh, and I almost forgot – a warm welcome to our new artist, LynxGriffin!
