Getting back in gear

I’ve finally made my way through most of the pages and updated the links, hooray! This turned out to be laborious, but also gave me the opportunity to check back in and fix and modify some things. So aside from links on the artist pages (which I’ll still get to, but hardly anyone ever clicks them anyway), the website is functional again. Only nine months later, sigh.

On a happier note, my seven-year-old and I have been continuing to make our way through the books. Now that it’s summer he’s often asking to read several chapters a day, and we’re just about to hit Bill and Fleur’s wedding, so getting close! If you noticed the banner artwork stopped rotating, I did that for him – we’re checking out the pictures at the end of every chapter we read so I’m updating it with where he and I are in the books, the way I did when I was originally posting things here. I’ll put the rotation back in once we finish.

I’ve also just created a simpler email address,

Hope you’re all having a lovely summer! It’s been lovely to see the new domain picking up traffic again the past couple of months. Thanks, as always, for being here, <3

  1. So happy to hear from you again, and as I’ve mentioned before, I so deeply appreciate your site. Glad you’re back Josie.

  2. Dear Josie
I’ve only discovered your most amazing site a couple of weeks ago. I’m currently re-reading the series (started on 26th of June of course) with it as my – well, companion :)
There are no words to describe its awesomeness really! I just want to thank and congratulate you for having created such a masterpiece! It’s unbelievable how much work you must have put into it. Thank You!
It’s a joy to read all the observations and comments and to find people as nerdy as I am and to read many thoughts I’ve had myself and also plenty of new ones.
It’s a pity new comments for chapters or essays can no longer be added, but I do understand that you don’t want to spend your time moderating them. However should you ever change your mind about this I’ll be happy to share some of my ideas as well and I’m sure that there are people who would assist with the moderator job (I’m a forum moderator at another place) and I think many of the people who are among the frequent commentators would be happy to help also. I hope you don’t perceive this as intrusive, I just wanted to share this suggestion.
Wishing you a beautiful summer with your son and the rest of your family and with Harry and co.
    Ps. Happy birthday Neville!

  3. So glad you’re back! I hope you and your son enjoyed reading the series together.
