LMRourke

LMRourke is the undisputed master of Harry Potter character portraits. She just manages to capture the essence of each person, and I would say her drawings have had more of an influence on how I picture characters while reading than the movies have. This website wouldn’t be complete without her work.

  1. Wowee! These portraits are astonishing. It’s clear that this artist has great talent for drawing her image of the characters! I can picture all of these snapshots hanging in a cluster on a wall in the Burrow, moving and mingling with each other.

  2. These are beautiful!! I totally agree about her capturing the essence of the characters…

  3. Wow. These are amazing.

  4. Clearly had Hugh Jackman in mind when drawing Sirius!!!

Well done, particularly with the Snapes. However I disagree with Josie on seeing the actual characters differently. What the movies have done well, if anything, is casting perfect characters for the roles.

  5. I think these are fabulous! Especially thinking Harry! I pictured Hermione slightly differently though :)

  6. Absolutely stunning. I went through all the categories choosing my favorites and then I realized they were all from the same account. Just absolutely stunning…

  7. they are absolutely wonderful and i love the Ginny Weasley and Snape portraits the best, though i have to admit that i have always pictured Hermione differently. i love them all and they are amazing xx

  8. These are absolutely incredible!!!! You are so talented!!! I particualrly like Charlie, Bill, and Percy. But these are all just AMAZING. Narcissa is incredible as well. :) Wow!

  9. I love the Sirius one! Josie, maybe you could make a charcter portrait page for Sirius?
